This month, we’re spotlighting our 12-year partnership with the Center For Family Services (CFS) in Camden, NJ—a collaboration that exemplifies sustained commitment to community transformation.

Since 2012, Metis has worked alongside CFS to bring millions in federal funding to Camden and design evidence-based programs that strengthen families and communities. Our partnership began with a Promise Neighborhood planning grant that led to one of only eight Promise Zone designations nationwide in 2015 and a $30 million implementation grant in 2016.

Our work together spans critical areas:

  • Violence Prevention & Intervention: From evaluating Cure4Camden’s violence interruption model to supporting hospital-based interventions and youth reentry programs.
  • Victim Support: Evaluating services for survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, human trafficking, and gun violence.
  • Family Strengthening: Supporting the Framing Fatherhood initiative, now in its fifth year of providing parenting and employment support.
  • Early Childhood & Education: Helping expand Head Start and Early Head Start initiatives.

We’re honored to support CFS’s mission to support children, families, and NJ communities. Here’s to many more years of partnership and impact.
