Position Summary

The Research Analyst will be part of a team of researchers, statisticians, and grant writers. They will work on diverse projects in education (e.g., community schools, magnet schools, college and career access and success), youth development, victim and trauma services, and family and community support.

This is a full-time (40 HR/WK) position, and we will consider candidates that work a hybrid schedule or are 100% remote. Specifically, if the successful candidate lives within 75 miles of our lower Manhattan HQ, the position requires two days a week in the office. The responsibilities will include the following:

  • Conducting a wide range of research and evaluation tasks, typically across several concurrent projects. Activities include:
    • An Analyst will also be called on to manage small research projects and program evaluations, including interacting with client personnel, resource/budget management and supervision of project team members.
    • Assisting with developing data collection tools (e.g., surveys and interview protocols)
    • Conducting primary data collection (e.g., focus groups and interviews)
    • Programming online surveys
    • Writing literature reviews
    • Analyzing qualitative and quantitative data
  • Creating data dashboards (using Tableau), research briefs, data snapshots, infographics, and other visualizations (using Canva), and written reports.

About You

  • At least two years of relevant work experience
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field strongly preferred; bachelor’s degree required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English required
  • Strong knowledge of statistics, SPSS, and Excel
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Ability and willingness to travel and work overtime when needed

Compensation: $55,000-$65,000 annually, depending on experience and qualification AND
